Merry Christmas!!
It’s a little late for the Merry Christmas bit, but I have been so busy this month it’s been hard to fit everything in!
Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to Fresh Spark Creative for developing my website and also my blog, they have done an amazing job and everything is just as I wanted in fact it’s better!
We recently took my little Cub on a surprise holiday for his 10th Birthday to Disneyland Paris, we didn’t let him know he was going until the night before, which if I’m honest was the hardest secret I have ever had to keep I felt at times like I might actually explode. He was so happy when we told him he cried. We also arranged a special surprise on his actual Birthday we had a meal at Cafe Mickey and paid for a cake which was delivered to music, we had so many characters dancing around the table it was unbelievable, including Mickey Mouse, it was as the best Birthday ever!
We had a fantastic time and I just love being a big kid, as you can probably tell with the following pictures.
We also ventured into Paris such a beautiful city, where we visited Notre Dame, the Catacomb’s and of course we had to check out the Christmas Market on the Champs Elysees, our fist stop the Catacomb’s was just breath taking in a weird way so many people’s remains excavated and lovingly stacked in some unique and unusual ways. The second picture must something to do with my camera skills but I like it.
We then went to the gorgeous Notre Dame it’s such a wonderful place, I’m not a religious person but I can understand why you would want to spend time in such a special place, it really was so very peaceful even with all the tourists and their cameras.
Along with the usual market stalls serving the most Delicious French food (I love French food that much I was in danger of looking like Santa Clause) we discovered an exhibition that was a delight to see, it was a message we have all seen time and time again “Save the planet” but the way in which it was done was so unique and clever I smiled the whole way through, it just goes to show you can get a valied message across as an artist without the use of dead animals, which I do not view as art in the slightest.
I have to say that it impacted me greatly and this year I will be focusing more on using my artwork to raise awareness of animal cruelty and to donate more to the charities that help animals all over the world, of course I am sure you have all heard it before but you can all help by watching your carbon footprint!
Well you can’t go to Disneyland and not feel inspired so the day after we returned home my pencils were in full working order and steam was emitting from my creative side of my brain. With several cups of coffee and lots of late nights I ventured into th fantasy realm of myth and magic, I came out the other side with this piece!
